Steering Knuckle is a component of steering mechanism which is connected to the tie rod ends for transferring motion to the wheels. It is fabricated by using hardened cast iron with the help of casting process in which molten metal is poured into the mould to make a single solid mechanical part having appreciable strength, rigidity and good thermal properties. Steering Knuckle is a stub axle which also provides a connection between the lower and upper ball joints. It is also provided with the mounting points for wishbones and also has the caliper to mount the braking system if Disc brakes is used.
